TEARS Currency - Pay with your tears

The edition Tears Currency consists of 13 different colored carpets in stain painted frames. Embedded in each carpet is a custom-made coin with an engraved tear.

Currencies and their values are a recurring topic in my artistic practice. The proposed work suggests a fictional currency consisting of individual tears embossed in the shape of a coin.
